" Oldest BJMP Photo "

The Oldest BJMP Photo contest is the Community Relations Service’s way of paying homage to the Bureau’s rich and meaningful past. All regional offices were enjoined to submit shots of BJMP’s milestones as entries. And finally, here’s a toast to BJMPRO-VII who was able to capture the earliest dawn of the Jail Bureau…

BJMP in its “brown” years: July 1991. Officers assigned at then Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center (BBRC), led by then SINSP GAUDIOSO P NAVALES (4th from left, front row) in their brown GOA. This was taken after the very first rank inspection of the jail at the facility’s rooftop. BBRC is now Cebu City Jail, housing three dormitories: male, female, and minor. In 2003, the Cebu City government donated the area where the jail is now located. And in 2006, CCJ was officially named.
