812 jail officers promoted |
812 BJMP officers has been promoted to the next higher rank |
A total of 812 jail officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) have just been promoted and shall be awarded their appointments on Monday.Thirty three commissioned officers (JCO) within the ranks of Inspector to Superintendent and 779 non-commissioned officers (JNCO) from the ranks of Jail Officer I (JO1) to Senior Jail Officer IV (SJO4) qualified for the promotion. |

“Vacancies for each rank depend on the authorized and actual strengths of personnel,” said J/SSupt. Abraham F. Abella, Director for Personnel and Records Management.Authorized strength is the number of personnel approved by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for each rank. Actual strength refers to the current and actual number of personnel the bureau has for each rank.Based from the consensus of the BJMP National Personnel Selection and Promotion Board (NPSPB) and pursuant to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Circular No. 2011-08, criteria for promotion include: time-in-grade, Performance Evaluation System (PES), awards and commendations, title of position/designation, other higher studies, promotional exam (PROMEX), work-related trainings, length of service, physical fitness test, and panel interview. |
